Job Summary
Underwrite complex surety risks in Italy, conducting detailed credit assessments, financial analysis, and deal structuring while managing both treaty and single risks. Steer the growth of the Italian surety portfolio by monitoring performance, translating risk insights into strategic decisions, and proactively developing new business opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor to clients and brokers, collaborating with the global Surety & Credit network and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and strengthen long-term partnerships. Support reporting to the Home Office to ensure alignment with global underwriting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in surety underwriting
- Strong understanding of surety bonds, financial analysis, and risk assessment
- Ability to assess contracts and legal/insurance wording
- Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach
- Client-focused, proactive, and commercially driven
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a high level of ownership and accountability
- Fluent business English
