Job Summary
Senior Residential Support Worker role in a specialist children’s home in Gloucester. Leads shifts, supports the Registered Manager and team to deliver therapeutic, trauma-informed residential care for children and young people with complex needs. Responsibilities include building trusting relationships with children and families, helping children process past experiences, promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour through therapeutic strategies, maintaining accurate records using IT systems, and contributing to a strong, reflective team culture. Desirable qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Required Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual), held for at least 12 months
- Willingness to work shift patterns, including weekends
- Ability to work within a safeguarding and trauma-informed environment
- At least 1 years' experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma or complex behavioural needs
