Senior Support Technician

Job Summary
Senior Support Technician based in the Raleigh studio will be the sole on-site IT resource in North Carolina, integrated with the LA IT team. Responsible for full technical support across the studio, primarily for video game production, including dev kit setup/management, onboarding/offboarding, software/hardware deployment, conference-room tech, security tooling and patching, directory services and group policies, and executive-level IT support. The role involves triage and resolution of IT requests, collaboration across IT and operations, documentation creation, and participation in IT projects and studio-wide initiatives. Requires strong self-motivation, ability to work autonomously, experience supporting game development environments (Unreal preferred), and a broad knowledge of operating systems, networking (VPN, firewall, VLANs), and modern IT tools (Office 365, Adobe, Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace).
Required Qualifications
- 4-8 years of IT support experience in a video game studio (strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting Animation and VFX
- Experience supporting Unreal
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Experience as primary or sole on-site IT resource with coordination with remote team
- Ability to balance local operations with IT governance
- Experience deploying and supporting high-performance workstations and game development hardware
- Knowledge of computer systems software, applications, and hardware concepts
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (VPN, firewall, VLANs)
- Directory/MDM experience (Active Directory and JumpCloud desired)
- Routine preventive maintenance on systems
- Ticketing system proficiency
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure trends in game development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical guidance to users
- Experience with automation, Perforce, GitHub; deployment/management of AI tools a plus
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Based in Raleigh, NC or willing to relocate
