Job Summary
Translate rolling demand forecasts into 3–6 month procurement plans and maintain planning parameters in the ERP. Build project-based procurement plans, identify long-lead components for preventive purchase, and quantify commitments for approval. Run the MRP cycle to convert requirements into purchase orders, track material readiness by project, and escalate delivery risks early. Issue weekly production plans, create manufacturing orders, and coordinate internal logistics for timely material staging. Keep planning master data accurate with Manufacturing Engineering and R&D, confirm feasible dates, and evaluate production capacity on a rolling 6-month horizon to flag bottlenecks. Own planning processes, report key KPIs including on-time delivery and forecast accuracy, and propose measures like load leveling or outsourcing.
Required Qualifications
- Technical or commercial education (HF, FH or BSc) in supply chain, industrial engineering or a comparable field
- 5-10 years' planning experience in a high-mix / low-volume electronics or precision instrumentation environment
- Solid ERP planning skills: MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and MPS (Master Production Scheduling), manufacturing orders and capacity planning
Desired Qualifications
- a planning certification (e.g. APICS CPIM)
- experience with Odoo
- Comfortable working with both forecast-driven and order-driven project planning logic in parallel
- Strong analytical skills, confident with data and Excel
- Able to take decisions under uncertainty, and to substantiate a 'no' with facts
- Clear communicator across manufacturing, supply chain, sales and suppliers
- Fluent English
