Job Summary
Senior Supply Chain Specialist leads global supplier qualification for direct materials tied to New Product Development, coordinating cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, China Sourcing, Customer Service) to source and re-source items, manage supplier relationships, analyze spend, drive cost savings, develop global implementation plans, prepare RFPS/RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and monitor KPIs to ensure on-time delivery and on-time product availability. The role requires strong negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to travel up to 25% and to work with both domestic and international suppliers. CPSM certification is highly desirable; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in business, supply chain, operations management, engineering or finance; Master’s Degree & CPSM certification highly desired
- 5+ years of experience in a sourcing role
- Experience building Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Experience in negotiations and contract awards
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong problem solving, strategic thinking, oral and written communication
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships
- Experience with total cost of ownership
- Experience with global supplier management
- Experience with RFP/RFQ processes
- Understanding of new product development and on-time delivery
