Job Summary
Own and manage electrical commodities to execute supplier production strategies from new product introduction through full production. Vet supplier production capabilities, facilities, and workforce to secure inclusion on the Approved Supplier List. Support Supplier Quality Engineers by ensuring adherence to part quality criteria, bringing up new tooling and lines, and driving capacity expansion readiness. Establish process performance reviews, optimize factory layouts to reduce costs and cycle time, and lead root cause task forces to close corrective and preventative action loops. Travel at least 60% of the time to embed with elite engineering and manufacturing teams at key sites, solving high-stakes challenges in real-time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with specific category technical expertise, as applicable, electronics/mechanical fabrication manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, GD&T
- Ability to travel at least 60% of the time
- Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering, or related technical field
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Exposure to working in a fast-pace, start-up environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
