Job Summary
Senior Supplier Development Engineer, Plastics based in Solna, Sweden. Lead injection molding process development, optimization, and troubleshooting at molding suppliers; support mold validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA requirements; sustain plastics molding suppliers for production-related engineering tasks; perform root-cause analysis for molding, resin and tooling issues; serve as a technical SME for injection molding, processing, tooling and polymer resins. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Plastics/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years (or Master’s with 3+ years), hands-on mold validations, experience in medical device/healthcare manufacturing, and proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and Moldflow; travel ~25% regionally and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in injection molding, processing, tooling, polymer resins and Moldflow simulation
- Scientific molding and cavity sensor technology experience desired
- Proven experience in medical device or healthcare manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with mold validations (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Ability to read and interpret product BOMs
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T interpretation
