Job Summary

Lead and oversee training operations across our manufacturing environment, supervise trainers and onboarding, and drive continuous improvement of training systems and processes to ensure workforce competency, readiness, and ongoing skills development. Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, and Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include training leadership and delivery across health and safety, precision mechanical assembly, manufacturing procedures, engineering drawing and blueprint interpretation, and other technical skills; develop, update, and standardize training materials; monitor training effectiveness and maintain documentation, records, and certifications; support succession planning and cross-training initiatives; supervise day-to-day training activities and provide coaching and mentorship to trainers and trainees. Proficiency with LMS and Microsoft Office, strong facilitation and communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required. Salary range noted in CAD; RTX provides comprehensive benefits and eligibility depends on position level and other factors.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Technical Training, Human Resources, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in training, workforce development, or technical instruction within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising training activities or teams
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Experience with aerospace or defense industry quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP)
  • Certification in training delivery, instructional design, adult learning, or leadership development
  • Familiarity with quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies (AS9100, ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing)
  • Experience developing onboarding, cross-training, and workforce competency programs
