Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and distribute work for contracted security guards to ensure contractual responsibilities are executed per the site contract. Manage security programs including investigations, asset protection, protection of goods in transit, due diligence, and information protection. Conduct security investigations, make recommendations on preventive actions, and cooperate with law enforcement on irregularities. Perform periodic buildings and grounds inspections to ensure compliance and inform technicians of equipment deficiencies. Prepare weekly written reports on security activities and participate in multidisciplinary teams as the Security Department Representative. Coordinate the site Keys Control Program and support local emergency programs, site safety, and parking regulations. This role supports the Manati and Guaynabo Site Security Department under BMS Corporate Security Policies and programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Science, or Business Administration
- Five (5) years' experience Security, police or military function
- At least three (3) years in an industrial environment
- Law enforcement experience
- Background on investigations
- General knowledge of relevant governmental regulations
- Knowledge of GMPs
- Knowledge of guidelines
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Both written and verbal language skills
- Ability to identify problems and develop solutions
- Ability to proactively adapt to and promote new technologies and processes in security
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external customers
- 100% of shifts onsite at assigned facility
- Must comply with all Security guidelines
- Must comply with Environmental Health and Safety regulations
- Must comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function
Desired Qualifications
- Law enforcement experience and background on investigations, is a plus
