Job Summary
Lead overall construction operations for complex projects, developing and managing operational plans, schedules, and comprehensive site mobilization workflows. Direct safety initiatives by implementing safety plans, conducting weekly walk-throughs, managing ORM processes, and ensuring all workers receive proper orientations and hazard assessments. Oversee logistics, equipment utilization, and production rates while managing self-perform tasks, field craft needs, and quality assurance protocols. Coordinate preinstallation meetings, mock-up processes, and progress documentation with design teams and trade partners. Manage project budgets, labor reports, and change controls to ensure adherence to milestones and cost targets. Build superior relationships with clients, vendors, and the team to resolve conflicts and maintain a high-performance culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 10+ years' experience in the construction industry
- Basic knowledge of personal computer and e-mail applications
- Proven ability to accurately schedule construction activities or projects
- Demonstrated success in effectively managing safety on projects
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients, trade partners, or associates
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Ability to regularly work in outside weather conditions
- Ability to frequently work near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to occasionally work in high, precarious places
- Ability to occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
