Job Summary
Plan, manage, and execute complex or multiple projects from initial planning to completion, overseeing subcontractors, suppliers, and programs for safety, quality, and EEO. Lead daily standups, trade meetings, and progress reviews while creating, managing, and adjusting project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager. Coordinate site custody, approve unit costs, track budgets, and manage material and equipment needs to ensure timely and profitable delivery. Identify and mitigate risks, negotiate project changes with owners and architects, and develop new business opportunities through client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid and unrestricted drivers license
- Must be able to lift at least to 50 pounds
- 10+ years construction experience
- 8+ years field supervision experience
- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects
- Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project
- Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project
- Proficiency in project management and accounting software
- Proficiency in required JE Dunn construction technology
- Proficiency in scheduling software
- Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy
- Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work
- Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity
- Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships
- Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
- Knowledge of layout skill
- Knowledge of crane flagging and rigging
- Ability to understand document changes and impact to the project schedule
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
- May require periods of travel and/or relocation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- Experience leading Lean principles on projects
