Senior Superintendent I

Senior Superintendent I will oversee the coordination of site work activities and supervise on-site teams across multiple construction projects. Responsibilities include managing construction activities and task assignments, interfacing with other departments to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule, budgeting and forecasting labor and materials with Project Managers, reviewing documents for completeness, creating and updating project schedules, coordinating plans with engineers, developing site utilization plans, selecting formwork systems, leading pre-construction planning sessions and site meetings, supervising crews, coaching and mentoring field personnel, driving teamwork, ensuring resources and support for crews, directing performance evaluations, participating in hiring decisions, developing leadership potential, implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program, managing open shop and union issues, maintaining relationships with customers, architects, and subcontractors, optimizing site work logistics, and performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications include a degree in Construction/ Civil/ Architectural Engineering or Construction Management (or 10 years of trade experience), 15 years of construction experience, 10 years in a supervisory role, experience with solar or large industrial power projects, strong organizational and communication skills, intermediate Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license. The base pay range is $144,300 to $216,500, with location-based adjustments; visa sponsorship is not offered. This role is based in Salt Lake City, UT, with postings noting additional office locations and market-adjusted compensation.
