Job Summary
In the role of Senior Subsea Flexible System Design Engineer, you will take ownership of design scope and deliverables for flexible pipe system configurations, performing dynamic and in-place analyses. You will build and troubleshoot OrcaFlex models, define analysis strategies, and lead technical reviews. Essential qualifications include a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline and at least 5 years of experience in subsea/offshore system design. Strong practical experience with OrcaFlex is mandatory. Desired skills include VBA and Python for engineering workflows.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in subsea/offshore system design and dynamic analysis
- Proven experience with OrcaFlex building models, selecting load cases, interpreting results
- Strong foundation on structural dynamics, fluid dynamics, mechanics, numerical simulation
- Demonstrated ability to take project ownership and deliver high-quality engineering work packages
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience from offshore/subsea engineering, oil & gas, offshore wind, or marine structures
- Experience delivering flexible pipe / riser / umbilical system design for offshore projects
- Experienced in applying offshore/subsea standards (API/DNV)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using VBA to support engineering workflows such as calculation automation, data handling, and report-ready outputs
- Practical Python skills for automation and tooling
- Previous experience in multidisciplinary teams or international environments
