Job Summary
Senior Subcontracts Manager to lead cradle-to-grave high-value subcontracts for defense/space programs in the greater San Diego area. Responsibilities include developing subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms/conditions; preparing bid packages and conducting bidder conferences; negotiating changes; ensuring compliance with laws/regulations; coordinating audits; providing leadership to management/program managers on procurement issues; managing subcontract policies and procedures; reviewing confidentiality/license agreements; supporting proposal preparation; and developing creative solutions to resolve highly complex subcontract issues. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, law, or related field and 13+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of FAR/UCC, strong leadership and communication skills, and travel capability. Onsite hybrid role with relocation assistance available; US citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or related field
- thirteen or more years of progressively complex experience in contracts/subcontracts
- Demonstrates knowledge of government and commercial contract administration principles
- Thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations including FAR, FAR supplements and UCC
- Ability to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; willing to travel
