Job Summary
The Senior Structures Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for bridge construction projects, analyze project documentation, and develop preliminary schedules. Responsibilities include conducting project feasibility reviews, soliciting bids from vendors and subcontractors, maintaining detailed estimation records, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure project success. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction estimation are required, along with strong proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation within the heavy civil construction industry, specifically with bridge projects
Desired Qualifications
- Highly proficient in estimation software (e.g., Agtek Gradework, Highway, Underground and Materials, AutoCAD, HCSS HeavyBid, and/or Bid2Win, Bluebeam Revu)
- Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the latest industry standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Capable of working in a team environment and handling client interactions professionally
- Able to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
