Senior Structural Project Engineer

Job Summary

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure clear project goals and expectations. Analyze building structures for load, wind, and geometry while interpreting codes to determine design specifications. Guide team members on design standards, techniques, and software, then back-check every project step to ensure quality. Prepare construction documents with BIM staff, review structural submittals, and respond to RFIs from the field. Monitor project progress, staffing, and financial health, then attend construction meetings and site visits to prepare field reports. Mentor employees on design techniques and codes, develop internal standards, and assist in proposal writing and training. Requires a Master's degree in Structural Engineering and 2 years of experience with analysis software, Revit, and technical writing. 5% domestic travel required; 40 hours/week.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in a related occupation
  • 2 years of experience utilizing structural analysis software
  • 2 years of experience working with spreadsheet or MathCAD style calculation tools/software
  • 2 years of experience working with Bluebeam to create markups on structural drawings
  • 2 years of experience utilizing Revit 3D BIM software, including developing drawings and details for schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of projects
  • 2 years of experience utilizing technical writing to prepare structural engineering memoranda and reports related to technical work and expertise
  • 2 years of experience performing structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures
  • 2 years of experience preparing structural calculations and plans for schematic design, design development and construction documents
  • 5% domestic travel
  • Authority to work permanently in the U.S.
