Senior Structural Project Engineer - Buildings

Job Summary

Coordinate with design teams and other disciplines to deliver complete, accurate structural designs for buildings, industrial, and transportation projects. Prepare structural drawings and details on time and within budget while assuring compliance with company quality control programs. Review construction shop drawings and submittals, check the work of others as assigned, and certify engineering design documents where required. Manage multiple project assignments to reach creative solutions for complex problems, meet with clients, and prepare proposals for business development. Maintain strong proficiency in structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry components using software such as RISA 3D, Tekla Fastrak, and Autodesk Revit.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil) with Structural Engineering emphasis
  • 15 years related work experience
  • Strong understanding and ability to prepare design of structural steel, concrete, wood/timber, and masonry components and framing systems
  • Working knowledge of IBC, AISC, and ACI Building Codes
  • Professional Registration: Professional Engineer
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with computer aided structural analysis / design software such as RISA 3D, Tekla Fastrak, TEDDS
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
