Job Summary
The Senior Structural Project Engineer will serve as the lead engineer on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, mentoring junior staff while preparing and reviewing structural calculations, managing project specifications, and ensuring compliance with PennDOT/PTC standards. The role requires a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, a PE License in Pennsylvania, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including work with PennDOT and project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to work.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed PE in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 8 years of bridge design, load rating and inspection experience
- Experience working with PennDOT, specifically District 4-0, PTC and/or municipalities
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Progressive experience with developing contract and utilizing MicroStation Connects, Open Roads and Open Bridge Design software
- Strong organization and leadership skills
- Ability to perform complex analysis and design
- Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI)
