Job Summary
Lead the design and detailing of structural systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASCE, IBC NJ Edition, AASHTO, NJDOT). Utilize AutoCAD to prepare bid-ready construction drawings, collaborate with project managers and team members, perform quality control on drawings and specifications, and provide mentorship to junior designers/drafters to foster a collaborative, innovative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and detailing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with RISA 3-D, RISA Floor, RISA Foundation, CONSPAN, PennDOT design software, Mathcad, Shoring Suite preferred
