Job Summary
Senior Structural Engineer responsible for design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry; prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for a variety of building types; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, mechanical, and electrical engineers; participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout all project phases; conduct site visits and field reviews to ensure compliance with design intent and applicable codes; review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction; support project delivery by ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met; qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, P.Eng. eligibility in Ontario, 3–8+ years of consulting experience, strong knowledge of Canadian building codes, proficiency with ETABS/SAP2000/SAFE (and Revit/AutoCAD as assets); strong communication and coordination skills; offers a flexible/hybrid work environment and a competitive compensation package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. in Ontario
- 3–8+ years of experience in structural design within a consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar)
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is considered an asset
- Strong communication and coordination skills
