Job Summary
Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design and project delivery for building projects (commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use) in Winnipeg. Role combines leadership, client interaction, and hands-on technical design. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from conceptual design through construction administration and close-out, mentoring junior engineers/designers, preparing and reviewing structural calculations and drawings, coordinating with architectural/mechanical/electrical/contractor teams, participating in site reviews and meetings, and contributing to project planning, scheduling, and quality control. Requires degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Manitoba P.Eng eligibility, 8+ years in consulting/building design, proficiency with ETABS/SAP2000/SAFE, AutoCAD and/or Revit, and strong leadership and client-facing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- P.Eng designation or eligibility within Manitoba
- 8+ years of experience within consulting engineering/building design
- Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members effectively
