Job Summary
Lead complex engineering design processes, establish project requirements, and conduct site investigations while creating technical documentation and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and budget constraints. Manage construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFI responses, and site visits, while directing and supervising Engineers, EITs, and designers. Mentor junior professionals, implement training programs, and coordinate cross-discipline discussions to foster effective communication across teams. Identify subject matter experts, allocate resources with Operations, and contribute to proposal writing and fee estimation. Participate in client interviews and travel for marketing activities as needed. This role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and production expertise in Revit and AutoCAD. The studio operates on a flexible hybrid schedule with three days in the Minneapolis office and two days working remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- ABET-accredited Engineering or Architectural Engineering degree
- 10+ years licensed experience
- 3+ years team management experience
- Production experience in developing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD
- Expertise with industry-standard calculation software
- Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Must be able to travel for marketing and project activities as needed
- Must be available for a flexible hybrid schedule with three days in the collaborative office environment and two days working remotely
