Job Summary
Senior Structural Engineer with 7+ years’ civil/structural experience, licensed (RPEQ) and eligible to contribute to a broad portfolio across Transport Infrastructure, Renewables, Waste Recycling, Industrial, Commercial, Residential and Mining. Lead structural design and analysis, prepare and review calculations and reports, coordinate multidisciplinary deliverables, mentor junior engineers and drafters, manage project planning and budgeting, and cultivate strong client relationships to secure repeat work. Role is based in Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast with a flexible hybrid work arrangement; collaboration with Geotechnics, Transport Advisory, Planning and Approvals, Hydrology & Hydrogeology and Environmental Specialists is expected. Proficiency in structural software (SpaceGass, ETABS, INDUCTA SLB or similar) and knowledge of relevant Australian Standards are required; travel to sites and provision of construction-phase support are anticipated as part of project delivery. Required Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in civil/structural engineering
- RPEQ (Structural) accreditation is required
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering
- Demonstrated experience delivering structural design projects across infrastructure, industrial, mining, renewables or built environment sectors
- Strong technical capability in structural analysis and design, with knowledge of Australian Standards
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SpaceGass, ETABS, INDUCTA SLB or similar)
- Experience in structural site inspections and construction phase services (RFIs, shop drawings, technical support)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build client and stakeholder relationships
- Creative, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
