Job Summary
Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects while managing project teams to ensure delivery through codes, client requirements, and QA/QC standards. Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, then coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors throughout all design and construction phases. Perform site visits, structural assessments, and milestone reviews, develop cost-effective solutions, and respond to RFIs to support construction administration. Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and quality reviews. Requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience
- Experience managing structural engineering projects, leading project teams, and successfully balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective client and team relationships
- Experience designing steel and concrete structures, including low- to mid-rise buildings with shallow foundation systems
- Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis/modeling software used in the design of building structures
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
- Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Experience with masonry, high wind/seismic design, wood design, and/or other specialized structural systems
- Experience supporting business development through proposal development, technical content, or responses to RFQs/RFPs
