Job Summary
Senior Structural Engineer role in Tampa leading structural engineering projects across healthcare, higher education, government, aviation, and industrial markets in the Southeastern U.S. Responsibilities include leading projects under a licensed structural engineer, performing structural calculations, editing specifications, preparing design drawings, mentoring Revit designers, developing project structural requirements, conducting field surveys, creating construction documents, coordinating with other design disciplines, and supporting construction services through RFIs, submittals reviews, and field observations. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5-10 years of related experience in structural design of steel/concrete/masonry/wood, familiarity with building codes, and experience with Revit; PE license is highly desired but not required. Occasional travel and a strong emphasis on safety and clear communication are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5-10 years of related experience including structural design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
- Professional Engineering license highly desired but not required
- Familiarity with building codes and engineering design requirements
- Experience with Revit is highly desired
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Occasional travel required for project delivery
- Commitment to safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards
- Ability to communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe conditions promptly
