Job Summary
Senior Structural Engineer focusing on the design of concrete and steel bridges and related structures for INDOT and DOT clients. Responsible for overseeing structural analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents (PS&E) in accordance with state/local agency requirements. Will conduct site visits, assist in bridge inspections, and collaborate with Lochner offices to deliver projects on-time and within budget. Requires BSCE (MSCE preferred), Indiana PE, 10+ years of DOT bridge design experience, and proficiency in Microstation, LARSA 4D, CSI Bridge (or similar 3D FEM tools). Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage schedules, scope, and client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- BSCE required
- MSCE preferred
- Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Must be in Indiana or willing to relocate within 6 months
- 10+ years of DOT bridge design experience with preventative maintenance, rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing steel and concrete bridges
- Proficient in design, modeling and analysis software including Microstation, LARSA 4D, CSI Bridge or other 3D FEM structural modeling software
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
