Job Summary
As a Senior Structural Engineer for large steel structures, you will develop structural design solutions and provide FEA and hand-calcs for complex steel structures. You will manage external design and fabrication partners throughout the project lifecycle, overseeing equipment fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, with experience in designing and analyzing large structural systems, particularly for aerospace applications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in structural, civil, mechanical, or similar disciplines
- 10+ years experience with a strong background in design/analysis/construction of large and complex steel structural systems
- Experience in structural and mechanical analysis utilizing FEA tools (STAAD and ANSYS preferred)
- Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded connections
Desired Qualifications
- PE license (Structural)
- Experience in STAAD/ANSYS
- 2+ years direct GSE design and analysis experience
- Experience reviewing analysis packages
