Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary
Lead structural analysis and design for mission-critical DoD facilities, including reinforced concrete, steel, and blast-resistant systems. Develop calculations, design criteria, and construction documents while ensuring compliance with UFC, ASCE 7, and federal standards. Serve as Engineer of Record, coordinate with architectural and civil disciplines, and review shop drawings and RFIs. Support construction administration through site visits and field issue resolution. Interface with government stakeholders, prepare design review responses, and mentor junior engineers. Maintain strict adherence to security and quality control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience on federal or DoD projects
- Prior Engineer of Record experience on complex projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with force protection, blast-resistant design, or hardened facilities
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, SAFE)
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel design
- Familiarity with DoD UFCs, federal design standards, and QA/QC processes
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Active security clearance
