Senior Structural Engineer - Infrastructure

Job Summary
Lead structural design and delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Western Canada, preparing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Conduct structural condition assessments, site investigations, and evaluations for new and existing facilities, developing practical solutions for rehabilitation, retrofit, and remediation of concrete and steel structures. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers while monitoring project scope, schedules, budgets, and engineering fees. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout all phases, reviewing construction activities and ensuring compliance with contract documents and standards. Support business development activities including proposal preparation and client relationship management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience designing reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures for industrial or municipal facilities
- Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes, structural design standards, and engineering best practices
- Experience on multidisciplinary projects and mentoring junior staff
- Excellent communication, client relationship, and contract management skills
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
