Senior Structural Engineer

Senior Structural Engineer to lead an international team on Nuclear Island reinforced concrete and steel building design for EPR nuclear projects in the UK. Responsibilities include managing design and structural analysis (Reinforced concrete/steel) of Nuclear Buildings, performing FEM calculations using ANSYS APDL or similar tools, ensuring compliance with Eurocode and ETC-C, producing detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation, and coordinating with drafting/BIM teams, technical direction, construction contractors, and regulatory authorities. The role involves on-site design support during construction, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Qualifications include a Master’s in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), extensive nuclear/high-risk industry experience, proficiency in structural analysis software (ANSYS, SAP2000, etc.), seismic design knowledge, and familiarity with 3D BIM modelling (TEKLA, Navisworks); professional licensure is advantageous.
