Job Summary
Lead projects and design packages for major bulk materials handling initiatives while delivering innovative structural engineering solutions across mining, resources, and industrial sectors. Engage with clients to define project scopes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex technical challenges. Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to emerging engineers within the Brisbane-based Mining & Resources team. Requires relevant structural engineering qualifications including RPEQ, experience in mining or heavy industrial infrastructure, and proficiency in software such as SpaceGass, FEA, and Parametric Modelling.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant engineering qualifications
- Experience in Structural Engineering including RPEQ
- Experience in mining, resources or heavy industrial infrastructure
- Experience across bulk materials handling facilities and associated structural assets
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as Spacegass
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as FEA (Strand 7/ANSYS)
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as Parametric Modelling (Rhino/Grasshopper)
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as 3D model interrogation (Navisworks/ACC)
- A track record of taking ownership and delivering practical, impactful outcomes
- Strong communication skills
- A willingness to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
- The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mining, resources or heavy industrial infrastructure would be highly regarded, particularly across bulk materials handling facilities and associated structural assets
