Job Summary
Supervise a team of designers to ensure structural drawings are completed on-time and within budget while maintaining quality and consistency. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model and optimize overall design. Adapt to technologies in power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, including leading carbon capture, solar, wind, and hydrogen projects. Travel to client facilities to verify on-site physical design conditions. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and offers a relocation package.
Required Qualifications
- Dependent upon your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package
- Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred
- CAD certificate required if non-degreed
- Minimum of 15 years of experience required
- Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Tekla, Revit, SmartPlant 3D)
- Knowledge of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design
- Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Bentley OpenBuildings Designer
- Bentley Microstation
- Autodesk Navisworks
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Autodesk Revit
- Trimble Tekla
- Hexagon CADWorx
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
