Phasor Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural/Civil Engineer to lead and manage design projects, requiring a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. The role demands proficiency in structural engineering software, particularly STAAD-Pro and AutoCAD, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities include ensuring safety in design, project leadership, and maintaining client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Detailed technical knowledge of structural engineering design, including steel and concrete structures
- Knowledge of Civil works including site preparation, earthworks and retaining walls
- Professional knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards
- Proficient in STAAD-Pro software and experience with AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of safety in design principles
- Ability to lead a small to medium size design project with minimal oversight
- Ability to mentor/provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
- Results-oriented and self-driven with experience juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Client-focused with good working relationships with Clients
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working on Industrial Civil projects
- Previous experience working in an EPC environment
- Previous experience working in electrical HV substation design for utility companies
