Job Summary
Design engineering of bridges and structures for road, highway, and transit systems in Massachusetts and the New England region. Perform complex engineering tasks efficiently, extracting data from CAD drawings to prepare computations, material takeoffs, estimates, and surveys. Issue specifications, data sheets, and construction documents while reviewing supplier submittals and conducting technical bid analyses. Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers, and may provide professional engineer seals and signatures to ensure code compliance. Act in an advisory capacity to senior management on engineering matters. This role supports Parsons' Critical Infrastructure team, which plans and modernizes defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure solutions globally.
Required Qualifications
- 8 or more years of related work experience
- 4-year degree (BS) in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
Desired Qualifications
- MS in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer registration
- Working knowledge of some state Bridge Design Manuals
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, industry standard bridge design and analysis software, and AutoCAD or Microstation
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Good leadership and emotional intelligence skills
