Job Summary
Lead category management for sourced finished medical devices by partnering with contract manufacturers and OEMs to refine sourcing strategies, oversee vendor contracts, and mitigate supply chain risks. Drive continuous value improvement across quality, service, and cost objectives while managing annual operational budgets and leading negotiation processes. Monitor market dynamics to identify trends that reduce total cost of ownership and support new product development initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supply base strategies with global sourcing goals and deliver sustainable cost savings. Requires proficiency in cost modeling, strategic sourcing methodologies, and MS Office tools, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the local office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Proficiency in cost modeling and data analysis or similar quantitative skills
- Experience managing optimal supplier contracts and negotiating value improvements
- Experience with MS Office Excel and other applications (Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 20% (globally)
- Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination status
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management
- Experience working in the medical device or similar regulated industry
- Experience working with finished medical device (SFMD) contract manufacturers and/or OEM suppliers
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills with ability to influence internal and external teams
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; process- and results-oriented
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
