Senior Storage Administrator

Job Summary

Manage, maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot servers and storage systems for the program and its customers while working with existing OS and Storage teams. Implement new hardware and software, provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies, and monitor system operations to identify problems and corrective actions. Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies in the current environment. Maintain storage and network policies, refresh data between environments, and create Standard Operating Procedures for disaster recovery and problem resolution. Requires Active DoD Secret Security Clearance, CompTIA Security+, and three years of experience with MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.)
  • Experience in Computer Science or IT
  • Minimum three years' experience in design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems
  • Minimum three years' experience maintain storage and network policies and standards
  • Minimum three years' experience refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of the application development staff
  • Minimum three years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
  • Minimum three years' experience with MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments
  • Minimum three years' experience administering applicable storage networks
  • Minimum three years' experience with VMWare 7.x or greater
  • Minimum three years' experience with network communication (IP based)
  • Installation and configuration experience of backup SW with Windows Server 2019, Solaris 11, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher
  • Experience with both Windows Powershell and Bash shell scripting
  • Strong CLI skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience
  • Three or more years' experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA)
