Job Summary
Senior Statistical Programmer responsible for review and handling of submission-ready datasets (ADaM), tables, figures, listings, and submission packages. Design, develop, and QC SAS programs to access, transform, review, analyze and submit clinical data for analyses. Lead and oversee pooled/exploratory analyses, ISS/ISE datasets, and complex SAS program development for CDISC ADaM submissions. Collaborate with study teams to ensure submission readiness (SDTM/ADaM/tables/figures/listings/define.xml), develop global tools to improve efficiency, and support regulatory submissions, publications, and data requests. Requires a BSc in related fields, 5+ years of SAS/statistical programming experience in CRO/pharma, strong SAS macro knowledge, CDISC standards expertise, R programming ability, and proven leadership in programming activities. Remote-friendly role based in South Africa with multiple South African cities as work locations.
Required Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related area
- At least 5+ years of experience in clinical programming and/or statistical programming, within the CRO/pharmaceutical environment using SAS
- Extensive experience with SAS software including development and use of SAS Macros
- Advanced knowledge in CDISC standards (CDASH, SDTM, ADaM)
- Proven experience in leading programming activities for pooled and exploratory analyses across multiple clinical studies and submission activities
- Ability to work effectively both independently or in a team setting, and to meet goals by managing timelines
- Experience with R Programming
