Senior Staff Test Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Staff Test Engineer responsible for test strategy and development for GaN and Silicon device families. Lead the creation, debugging, and release of test programs on discrete testers and mixed-signal ATE platforms, and drive the transition of legacy platforms to new technology nodes. Design and lead reviews of high-performance test interface hardware, and develop test hardware (load boards, probe heads, sockets) based on device specs and characterization data. Support NPI through validation and yield ramp, and provide sustaining support for production test platforms. Drive platform conversions and efficiency improvements across multiple ATE systems. Apply expertise in wide bandgap semiconductors, high-voltage and high-current testing, and use lab tools (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, ATE debugging utilities). Collaborate across design, product, reliability, test, and operations teams; organize and present technical data to engineering and management. 5–12+ years of semiconductor test experience (BS or MS), hands-on wafer sort and final test, and programming in C++/VBA or similar languages. Required Qualifications
- 5–12+ years in semiconductor test engineering (depending on degree)
- Hands-on experience with wafer sort and final test
- Programming background in C++, VBA, or similar languages
- Proficiency with ATE instrumentation and platforms (discrete test systems and mixed-signal testers, e.g., Acco STS8300)
- Solid understanding of wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g., GaN)
- Experience with power and analog test methodologies
- Familiarity with semiconductor Fabrications, assembly, and packaging processes
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
