Job Summary
Design, build, and support easy-to-use React/TypeScript applications while scaling business functionality and enhancing existing systems for improved performance, stability, and security. Set standards for accessibility and design system use, advocate for high-quality codebases, and reduce technical debt through quality-of-life improvements. Make and implement technology decisions that support business needs without compromising security, privacy, or quality, while building deep user empathy and maintaining a user-centric mindset. Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams including design, product, and machine learning engineers, and mentor other engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience building, shipping, and supporting web applications
- 5+ years of experience with React
- Independently worked and delivered a small web app or entire feature in a larger web app
- Excitement about working in our mobile tech stack, which includes React, Typescript, and potentially Electron
- Ability to act with autonomy & self-direction while working well in a team environment
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Comfortable with working across domains and languages with a curiosity to experiment & learn new things
- Deep expertise in using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows
- Experience with AI tools for the last couple years
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with audio playback
- Experience with audio recording
- Experience with file encryption
- Experience with online vs. offline mode support
