Job Summary
Design and implement scalable data pipelines supporting real-time and batch processing while optimizing systems for latency, cost, and throughput. Own data products end-to-end, driving architecture for distributed systems that handle large-scale operations using Python, Kafka, Spark, and PostgreSQL. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and LLM technologies into data workflows, participating in the full development lifecycle from ideation to production deployment.
Required Qualifications
- 7–15 years of experience in backend or data platform engineering
- Proven track record of building and owning data systems that are product-facing
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, and Airflow
- Background in data-intensive environments, preferably within startups or high-growth companies
- Familiarity with OLAP systems like ClickHouse
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating AI or LLMs into data workflows
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex, ambiguous data challenges effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical and product teams
