Job Summary
Lead multi-team technical initiatives spanning product areas to drive platform architectures, reliability, and security; influence architecture across product lines; coach Staff and Senior engineers to broader technical leadership; design and implement large-scale platform components and migrations; ensure compliance with DoD/federal security standards; collaborate with program leadership, product management, and cross-functional leads; own cross-team technical outcomes and address systemic weaknesses at scale.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional proficiency across multiple software engineering domains: distributed systems, API design, data architecture, frontend or backend development, and platform engineering
- Experience leading multi-team technical initiatives from concept through production at organizational scale
- Deep expertise in large-scale system design and platform architecture
- Track record of driving cross-team engineering improvements in testing, observability, CI/CD, security, or shared infrastructure
- Proven ability to identify and resolve systemic technical risks across codebases and teams
- Coaching experience for Staff-level engineers to broader leaders
- Excellent technical communication across multiple engineering teams
- Experience navigating cross-team organizational dynamics and delivering outcomes without formal authority
