Job Summary
Senior Staff Security Engineer for Ripple Treasury, leading security posture, threat modeling, and secure software delivery across Treasury offerings. Owns secure SDLC, cloud security architecture (Azure/AWS), IAM and network controls, encryption and zero-trust strategies, vulnerability discovery and remediation, and collaboration with GRC for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance. Builds security tooling and champions security within Treasury Engineering, mentors engineers, and participates in architectural decisions to advance security across fintech/crypto treasury systems.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Security Engineering experience
- Expert-level product security skills including threat modeling using STRIDE or equivalent
- security architecture review, OWASP Top 10 and beyond, API security, authentication and authorization design
- secure SDLC development
- Cloud security architecture across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
- IAM architecture, network security, secrets management, container and Kubernetes security, infrastructure as code security
- DevSecOps tooling such as static/dynamic analysis, software composition analysis, secrets scanning, container scanning, CI/CD security integration
- Strong software engineering skills in Python or Go
- Experience with cryptographic principles and key management (HSMs, MPC, PKI, key rotation)
- FinTech, crypto, blockchain familiarity a plus
- Threat modeling and architecture discussions, design reviews, mentoring security engineers
- Ability to translate threat models into concrete defensive improvements across platforms
