Senior Staff, Product Design (Core UX)

Job Summary
Drive and lead key strategic business initiatives to optimize new and existing features across vertical shopping experiences including Consumer Electronics, Fashion, Health, Beauty, and Sports. Oversee the full design lifecycle for Coupang's core e-commerce offerings while collaborating with senior stakeholders across UX, Product, Engineering, and Operations to define release strategies. Act as an advocate for the customer by integrating behavioral science and data-driven insights to refine the journey and identify scalable solutions for design inefficiencies. Transition the Core consumers app to a world-class global standard through autonomous project management in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Pitch and hold in-depth discussions with C-level stakeholders to align on complex feature programs and business impact.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in executing & delivering high quality designs
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Computer Science, Psychology, Ethnography or equivalent practical experience
- Track record leading & launching customer/ business impactful projects
- Has led design sprints, team brainstorming, ideation exercises and launching the feature
- Closely partnered with Product Owners to develop strategy and rationale for large and complex features, projects, or programs
- Collaborated with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment, fast –paced environment
- Track record of using data and quantitative research methodologies to inform decision making across the entire product design process/lifecycle
- Domain knowledge and understanding of the complexities of a marketplace/consumer platform model
- Able to operate autonomously to manage projects in a fast-paced environment and remain focused amidst frequently changing requirements
- Able to pitch and hold in depth discussions with the C-level stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Korean language proficiency (English is a plus)
