Job Summary
Provide high-quality, evidence-based direct patient care to students, faculty, and staff at the UNLV Student Health Center and FAST Center via in-person visits or telehealth. Conduct assessments, diagnoses, treatment initiation, and evaluations while documenting findings in the electronic health record. Supervise contracted and per diem physicians as a clinical supervisor. Perform in-office surgical procedures and manage referrals to specialists or higher levels of care. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a current Nevada license and national board certification in family medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of a family medicine residency
- Current Nevada M.D./D.O. license in good standing
- National board certification as a family medicine physician
- At least three (3) years of experience as a family medicine physician
- Experience performing in-office surgical procedures
- At least one (1) year of experience supervising physicians and/or medical residents
- Pass a background screening
- Compliance with Employee Exposure to Communicable Disease (Prevention of) Policy
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year or more precepting, teaching or training medical students
- One (1) year or more of clinical experience in college health or community health setting
