Job Summary
Design, plan, deploy, manage, and optimize global network infrastructure at corporate and manufacturing locations, ensuring high performance and reliability. Act as an escalation point to troubleshoot complex network issues involving BGP, SD-WAN, VLANs, security, and wireless, while serving as the network engineering point of contact for service requests. Lead the development of automation tools to modernize IT network infrastructure and improve end-user experience. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including configurations, run books, and handover materials. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to deployment teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scopes and integrate company standards into regional site builds. Manage multi-quarter projects and maintenance windows with flexibility to adjust working hours for global collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field
- 12+ years professional experience in Network Architecture including Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Network Security
- Strong verbal, written, social, and presentation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to regularly adjust working hours or time shift to accommodate global projects
- Deep understanding of network design practices from small offices to large campuses
- Deep understanding of DHCP/DNS functions, configurations, troubleshooting, and IPAM tools
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in networking technologies/solutions including SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, HA, VLAN, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, QoS, WAN
- Solid understanding of data center networking technologies and solutions including Cisco/Arista switches, WAN routers, structured cabling
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish professional working relationships with varying levels of both business and technical personnel
- Exceptional documentation skills that can clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem determination/resolution skills
- Proficient in version control, configuration management (Git/Ansible), and network automation
- Familiar with network scanning/analysis procedures and toolsets for network readiness assessments
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Infoblox
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Technical certificationss such as CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
