Job Summary
Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for the Coupang Eats mobile platform, including architecture, infrastructure, reliability, scalability, performance, and developer productivity. Lead the design and evolution of scalable mobile architectures across the Customer App, Merchant App, and Delivery Partner App. Establish best practices in software design, testing, observability, CI/CD, and release management while partnering with senior engineering leaders to align technical strategy with business priorities. Mentor senior mobile engineers and influence technical direction through architectural reviews and strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mobile software engineering
- significant experience building and scaling consumer-facing mobile applications used by millions of users
- Proven track record of leading large-scale mobile initiatives and influencing technical direction across teams or organizations
- Deep expertise in native mobile development (Android and/or iOS) and modern mobile application architecture
- Strong experience designing scalable mobile platforms, frameworks, libraries, and developer tooling
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong system design, problem-solving, and software engineering fundamentals
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
