Job Summary
Design, schedule, and deliver technical training modules for the Deployable Structures & Mechanisms portfolio, ensuring consistency across on-boarding and production programs. Establish train-the-trainer programs to qualify area trainers, develop training materials and knowledge assessments for standard operating procedures, and utilize authoring tools for multimedia development projects. Partner with functional managers to coordinate assessments and provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to other employees. Act as an advisor on advanced technical research studies and solve unusually complex problems with innovative solutions. Maintain current knowledge in training research, learning theory, and motivation techniques. This role supports Mission Enabling Products, a leading designer of spacecraft components powering U.S. satellites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- 14 years relevant experience
- 12 years relevant experience with a master's degree
- 10 years with a PhD
- Established experience in the development and delivery of training programs or courses
- Demonstrated ability to formally present technical solutions to senior leadership
- Technical expertise in design, test, or manufacture of spacecraft components
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues
- Strong MS Office knowledge, specifically with PowerPoint
- Ability to travel between the Goleta and Oxnard, CA facilities
- US Citizenship
