Job Summary
Design, build, and deploy scalable full-stack applications from concept through production using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, GraphQL, and React. Architect and optimize high-throughput distributed systems on AWS, managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Docker. Improve system reliability and operational excellence with an SRE mindset while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality software. Participate in AI-powered product development, including experimentation, evaluation, and data-driven improvements. Work remotely in U.S. time zones as a Senior or Staff engineer with 7–25 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 7–25 years of professional software engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years as a Senior or Staff Software Engineer
- Strong experience building full-stack web applications from design through deployment
- Proven expertise with TypeScript in production environments
- Strong backend development experience using Node.js
- Strong backend development experience using Express
- Strong backend development experience using GraphQL (Apollo preferred)
- Strong backend development experience using PostgreSQL
- Strong frontend experience with React
- Experience designing and scaling high-throughput distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform
- Experience designing scalable relational database schemas
- Familiarity with Docker and modern cloud-native development
- Understanding of AI-assisted product development, including LLM workflows, experimentation, evaluation, or dataset curation
- Strong knowledge of software security best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Experience building software where the product itself is the company's core business
- Fintech experience is a plus
- Active GitHub profile with meaningful open-source or personal projects
- Strong side projects demonstrating engineering excellence
