Job Summary
Embed with a functional department to run discovery on workflows and pain points, then scope, design, and build full-stack custom applications using Python, React/TypeScript, and AI coding assistants. Own end-to-end delivery including architecture, testing, deployment, and stakeholder training to ensure adoption. Operate hands-on in code alongside AI tools to compress build cycles, making explicit trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality as requirements shift. Partner with IT, Security, and Data teams to meet compliance standards, then codify recurring patterns into reusable building blocks. Feed field learnings back to platform and product teams while measuring success through production adoption and business impact.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- demonstrated ability to independently architect, design, build, and ship full-stack applications (frontend and backend)
- Deep proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python, Node.js/JavaScript, or comparable)
- strong frontend capability (React/TypeScript)
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.)
- expert understanding of APIs, webhooks, data structures, and integration patterns
- proven track record of working directly with senior non-technical stakeholders
- ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to a functional VP or executive as easily as to a fellow engineer
- Comfort operating with significant autonomy and shifting priorities
- Only Prague-based employees are required to work from the office at least 2 days/week
Desired Qualifications
- prior experience in a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, professional services, or startup generalist role where you owned a project from discovery through production
- exposure to enterprise security, compliance, or data governance requirements
