Senior Staff Engineer (Senior Mendix Developer)

Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications using the Mendix low-code platform, creating custom widgets, modules, and integrations with external systems. Collaborate with stakeholders and architects to gather requirements, participate in project planning, and optimize batch retrieval processes for large-scale data handling. Enhance application performance by refining data loading, reporting, and Excel export functionality while implementing automated testing frameworks. Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability through adherence to development standards and Agile methodologies. Communicate project status and technical recommendations to leadership teams to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
Required Qualifications
- More than 8 years of overall software development experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Mendix application development
- Strong expertise in Mendix Studio, Mendix Studio Pro, and Mendix Runtime
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using the Mendix low-code platform
- Experience developing custom Mendix widgets, modules, and reusable components
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, coding standards, design principles, and Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with database design, data modeling, and data management concepts
- Experience integrating Mendix applications with external systems using APIs, web services, and other integration mechanisms
- Experience working on large-scale applications with a focus on performance optimization and scalability
- Knowledge of implementing batch retrieval mechanisms and handling large data volumes efficiently
- Experience improving application performance, data loading processes, and reporting functionalities
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
